Blood Stains On My Feces

George Orwell - The Animal Farm (Animal Farm)

Better known as Animal Farm (Animal Farm in the original, A Granxa two animais in the Galician book came into my hands) is a satirical novel of mid-1945, in which a magnificent George Orwell introduces us to some animals on a farm and tells the situations lived under the rule of Mr. Jones and how things change after the words of the old Commandant (Major), when the pig Napoleon takes the reins.

Like other books in the library, the translator on the cover. I still find amazing.

Old Major dies singing and libertarian promises, the rebellion will smell in the air. Palpable. The new rules, the new regime, the attitudes of the various farm animals ... Everything is meticulously detailed without overwhelming in just over 100 pages, of which there's nothing left.

The truth is that I like the work with little filler, ranging to what they will and will not be entertained. I like the work without chapters "of Brienne of Tarthes", taking advantage of the series now comes Game of Thrones, and it turns out The Animal Farm Animal Farm or, as ye call it, is precisely that: a direct labor concise and, why not say it, mararavillosa.

Orwell portrays a range of characters that serve to cover everything, from Napoleon (Stalin), Boxer (the restless proletariat), sheep (illiterate peasantry), Squealer (the press, the public voice of Napoleon and yours), the donkey Benjamin (I assume that Russian intellectuals) dogs (Stalin's secret police), the raven Moses (the Church) ... and with them gives color to the dark history that fills the pages. In addition, and I want to stress, I loved the character of Mollie

Napoleon lies increasingly, and with it the elite swine farm. Time passes, memory falters and small variations are incorporated in the slogans and rules. Very style that the author would do well in 1984, the division dedicated to correct the history books to say what matters at all times.

" All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others. "

The narrative is clear, neat and very effective. For example, the scene in which Benjamin Boxer chides others for not realizing what happens. It's incredibly dramatic, is very accomplished. Made my hair stand on end and do it again. An incredible moment from beginning to end. Similarly, the Great War and all those scenes related to changes in the rules, how people make more If what you see on the wall of the regulations to which it can issue its report, how it is accepted that memory is fragile, so it probably is the memory error and can not be caused by something else. It is interesting, powerful and perfectly worn, although it clear that repetition is a theme that Orwell was interested or was particularly concerned.

Note: 10. An essential book, a great story and characters absolutely fantastic.
