Throat Swollen After Drinking Alcohol

Tom Hooper - The King's speech

After the death of King George V ( Michael Gambon), his son Edward ( Guy Pearce) takes the throne as Edward VIII. However, his sympathy to the Nazi regime and his love for the divorced Wallis Simpson ( Eve Best ) are to abdicate in favor of his brother Jorge ( Colin Firth), the future George VI.
The film focuses on George's struggle to overcome his stuttering with the help of a bizarre speech therapist ( Geoffrey Rush), recommended by his wife Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (Helena Bonham Carter ).

This is a film about self-improvement. Jorge's struggle for power in public speaking fluently captures the attention. The script and the performances perfectly reflect their frustration, their eagerness to improve, their hard work, complex family relationships that surround it, what their marriage is solid, their fear, their insecurities ... Prince shows a fear of being King and not make the cut. It's a great book that engages from the start making empathize with each of the characters.
The script makes a story so simple into something moving and exciting. The dialogue is brilliant and perfectly suited to the different social classes. Let us see each character to perfection, making empathize with some and despise others. In development of the therapy makes us forget who is the patient, seeing only a person with great skills and great limitations.
Every class, from the workers to the clergy, to politicians and nobles have a place, giving a clear picture of the society of the time.
The address is all you can expect. Has many close-ups, the actors support to perfection. Continuously combining different styles, without it being shocking and use of light in a masterful way.
The actors are impeccable, a great cast. Colin Firth is fantastic. We strongly recommend that you try to see it in the original. In Spain they have chosen for him at the same bender that Nicolas Cage and falls far short of measuring up. And it is clear that in this film Jorge's voice is the most important. Helena Bonham Carter is most correct in one of the more normal roles. Action without the eccentricities to which he usually does, is merely ... wife, a homemaker. And fulfills the role with great ease. Guy Pearce as Eduardo is also remarkable. Along with a great script, makes despise the character. But my favorite performance was that of Michael Gambon. It has a very small role, but I loved it.
also emphasize the extras. If you look when you see it, you'll realize that all look very British. They could not be better targeted.
The costumes and sets are faithful to the time and social stratum of the characters in each scene. Of the most remarkable. Palaces, humble homes, fields, factories, radio ... all you one step closer the time and venue of all. Do not have a single failure to talk about.
The music is composed almost entirely by Alexandre Desplat. The main piece is beautiful, but end up abusing it too much. Listening as a whole, the songs are not very different from each other, resulting in a soundtrack a bit monotonous. We also dig into works of Mozart and Beethoven. The platform as you have if you want to listen to Spotify.

Note: 9. Along with black swan, the film of the year. No doubt.
